Over the past few years, SCRAP has assisted schools, communities, businesses and householders with sustainable solutions in gardening, irrigation, grounds and landscaping.
In recent times we have worked with companies such as IWT the inventors of KISSS (Kapillary Irrigation Subsurface System), irrigation company, H2O – Mark McCabe, landscaper, Ian Wheeler, plumber, Glyn Lewis-Jones and others to bring drought proofing to school fields with subsurface irrigation fed by rainwater tanks and/or recycled water. Together with our enviroplumbing/tanks, worm farming and composting solutions and our relationship with Eden Seeds we can offer a wide range of products and services to provide you with more sustainable gardens and grounds.
For over 25 years Eden Seeds has been providing non-hybrid, old traditional, open pollinated varieties of seed. None are genetically engineered, nor chemically treated and they are available as Certified Organic (Select) or regular (Eden). Many are supplied by growers who themselves purchase seed from Eden. SCRAP is merchandising only the Select Organic at this stage. All are packed in home gardener sized packets (see picture or our display). Larger quantities are available on request.
CUSTOMERS IN WA and TASMANIA, PLEASE NOTE: quarantine restrictions apply in your state. Some seeds may not be permitted and so we cannot send them to you. In WA a quarantine charge applies to all shipments. Please contact us for further details.
Usually priced at $5.50-$5.80 per packet we are pleased to offer three for $15 including postage and handling as an introductory offer. To obtain the special please contact us directly by email email@example.com with your order. If our list does not meet your needs, please email or call us on 0400 982 516 as we may be able to obtain the seed you want.
It is interesting to note that Eden Seeds have recently signed the Safe Seed Pledge drafted by the Council for Responsible Genetics which states in part: “Agriculture and seeds provide the basis upon which our lives depend. We must protect this foundation as a safe and genetically stable source for future generations. For the benefit of all farmers, gardeners and consumers who want an alternative, we pledge that we do not knowingly buy or sell genetically engineered seeds or plants.”
