SCRAP Membership Rights &
Obligations
Program Membership of SCRAP (School
Communities Recycling All Paper) entitles each member to certain rights
and entails certain obligations as outlined below. SCRAP is a Company
Limited by Guarantee (non-profit). By joining SCRAP as a Program Member
you are accepting that SCRAP will act on your behalf in respect of the
program activities in which you agree to be involved.
1. SCRAP Program Membership shall be free
of charge to any non-profit organisation accepted for that membership.
For Individuals/microbusinesses the Program Membership fee shall be
$11 per year, for Small to Medium sized Businesses the Program Membership
Fee shall be $22 per year and for Corporations the Program Membership
fee shall be $55 per year (including gst).
2. SCRAP shall
represent the best interests of its Program Members and their program
activities as agreed to by each Program Member individually.
3. SCRAP shall seek to advance the cause of
environmental education and waste reduction activities among its Program
Members as much as possible.
4. Where contractual arrangements are entered
into by SCRAP, the terms of those contracts shall be binding on Program
Members, in so far as the terms of those contracts apply to them. Any such
arrangements shall be provided to each Program Member in writing at the
time of their signing up to that program(s).
5. SCRAP shall communicate to Program Members
their rights in respect of participation in any of SCRAP's programs,
including any classification they are awarded and the level of Green Buy
Discounts to which they are entitled in making purchases from SCRAP.
6. Program Members shall agree to the terms of
each individual program which they undertake through SCRAP. These terms
are subject to negotiation between SCRAP and each Program Member at the
time of reaching the agreement to participate.
7. Program Members shall abide by the terms
and conditions of each program they undertake from the date of that
undertaking. Program Members shall also abide by any changes to programs
providing that they are given reasonable notice by SCRAP of such changes
and notwithstanding point 8 below.
8. Program Members shall be free to end their
membership of SCRAP at any time without cost, providing they comply with
any contractual arrangements to which they have agreed and return any
materials which are owned either by SCRAP or by any other body with whom
the Program Member is involved in the programs coordinated by SCRAP. Any
Program Membership fee paid shall not be refundable to the Program Member
which terminates its membership or has its membership terminated. SCRAP
reserves the right to discontinue the Program Membership of any member as
it sees fit and without having to explain its reasons.
9. SCRAP shall take due care and apply all
necessary diligence in performing the role detailed herein, but shall
accept no responsibility for the failure of any Program Member to realise
its goals in respect of any SCRAP program which they agree to
undertake. |
